Best practices
R&D and experience enabled to create some golden rules for data center design.

Air flow management
In order to improve the efficiency of the cooling system it is necessary to take greatest care of air flow design, directing cold air through rasied floor to form cold aisles in front of the RAC air intake. Outlet air is managed from hot aisles. Climaveneta units are always available also as versions optimized for raised floors.

Arrange cold and hot aisles
Creating cold and hot aisles in the Data Center allows a more accurate and efficient management of air flows and a better localized cooling, compared with traditional solutions. Climaveneta units, thanks to the inverter technology can perfectly adapt to the real loads of the structure, ensuring perfect efficiency also at part load. Moreover employing free-cooling, even partially, allows to reduce dramatically energy consumption, contributing to get closer to the ideal PUE 66%

Localize cooling
Cooling the single RACK instead of the whole room, cooling capacity is employed in the most effective way, lessening the cooling need of each computer and the nominal power required by the data center. Hence Climaveneta units work always at ideal conditions, with a higher set-point, which makes more convenient the use of freecooling. Dedicated solutions for localizing RAC cooling, guarantee an effective and efficient management of the thermal load created by the hot spots.

Highest efficiency with water cooled systems
Water cooled solutions ensure much higher performance than direct expansion systems and are particularly proper for large installations. In this segment Climaveneta gives its best thanks to the technological superiority of its high efficiency chillers and to the complete reliability of the HPAC solutions optimized for this type of system, thus guaranteeing performance by far higher than any direct expansion solution.
