Bruges, Belgium, May 28th: During the last general assembly of European manufacturers of air treatment, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, Mr. Carlo Grossi, Climaveneta SpA CEO, formerly first vice president of the Eurovent Association and member of the board of directors of Eurovent Certification, took office as the new president.

After his nomination Mr Grossi said "Eurovent certainly plays a basic and positive role in the air conditioning market. The Association, which represents and gives voice to the more enlightened and aware views even within the institution, has helped to create favourable conditions for market development, giving companies a common vision to guarantee better comfort in buildings and contribute to improving the quality of life of people who live and work there, with respect to their environment. One of the most important business issues is to contribute to regulation and legislation to create an open and fair market. In the actual context of legislative activity on environment and energy at European level, Eurovent brings the contribution of industry in the institutions, working actively in the drafting of the main European legislation on energy efficiency of buildings and reduction of total life cycle environmental impact in plant".
